Llangollen Railway and the Dee Valley

Saturday 18 June 2011

Tickets £27 all classes

Tickets are still available for this visit to the beautiful Dee Valley in North Wales when you can enjoy a ride on the heritage railway at Llangollen.  Travel by luxury coach from the following pick-up points (new pick-up point at Ellesmere Port Boat Museum just added!).

08:00   Hamilton Square, Birkenhead

08:15   William Brown Street, Liverpool (outside the museum)

08:45   Old Town Hall, Widnes

09:00   Runcorn Sports Club, Moughland Lane (free car parking)

09:20   Ellesmere Port Boat Museum car park (new pick up point)

On arrival at the railway (approx 10:15), tea will be served in the Robertson Suite followed by a short introduction by one of the railway’s volunteers.  Visitors will then depart on the 11:00 steam hauled train for a 7 ½ mile journey following the river in the beautiful Dee Valley.

On return to Llangollen at 12:30, a buffet lunch will be served, again in the Robertson Suite.

In the early afternoon, members have the option of visiting the loco and engineering shed or having free time to explore the shops and hostelries of Llangollen or, possibly, taking a ride on a horse drawn boat along the Llangollen Canal.  The coach departs Llangollen for the return journey at 17:00.

Tickets £27 - all classes
