AGM Day - The Daniel Adamson in Person

Photographs © John H. Luxton 2005

A selection of photographs of the Daniel Adamson taken on the day of the first Annual General Meeting held on July 02, 2005. The ship was open to  members for inspection between 10:00 and 12:00 with refreshments being served on the promenade deck. This selection of views is provided for the benefit of members who were unable to visit the ship.

The Daniel Adamson at her berth in Salisbury Dock, protected by the covers installed late last summer. These have facilitated the drying out of the vessel after many years of rainwater ingress.

The Art Deco Saloons were illuminated with the aid of the portable generator. Much of the material stored in this area will be removed to secure storage of the vessel in the autumn.

The aft accommodation, which once housed crew cabins. Prop shafts are visible as is the new access ladder.

Restoration work on the aft peak tank tops. Circulation pump under restoration. Temporary replacement decking made it possible to move around without trip hazards.
Boiler room views. For some reason the engine room was overlooked! - Sorry!
