Daniel Adamson - Early Work 2004

On Saturday March 06, a group of DAPS supporters led by Dan Cross set about pumping out the DANIEL ADAMSON and removing the vessel's rather apparent list to port. Thus she was restored to an even trim after several hours of pumping . Over the years much rainwater had permeated the engine room and accommodation as a result of the activities of vandals who had removed vents and hatch covers.

Dan Cross, Pat Brennan and Paul Fazackerley have visited the DANIEL ADAMSON in late February to secure the ruder amidships, something which had to be undertaken before a tow could be undertaken. The rudder had been stuck in the port position. Rain water which had accumulated in the aft accommodation was pumped out to an acceptable level which poses no stability / free surface effect problems when underway. The MSC Assistant Engineer was in attendance to check the work undertaken.
